Curmudgeon is almost finished with the AZ Trail!

Tim has been hiking 20-25 miles a day. Got to the S rim of the Grand Canyon late Monday afternoon. They had a couple camp sites reserved for thru hikers. He said they had several tents on each site. He was spending 2 nights there. He had to get a permit to hike thru and also one to camp on the N rim. He left Wednesday am around 6 to beat the heat. He was hiking to the camp area yesterday and said he would be to the top of the north rim sometime today from there. He has a few days to get to Paige, Arizona, which is right at the end of the trail. He’s finishing up at least a week to 10 days earlier than we had anticipated. I am in Hilton Head with Sean, Ashley and the boys and flying home on Sunday. Headed up to Phoenix on Tuesday and he’s going to fly in from Paige, Arizona, to Phoenix airport where I will meet him from there. We’re headed to Aunt Peg‘s for a couple days in Sun City, then on to Jodi‘s in Prescott Valley. We will be leaving Arizona in a week and head into California for the next phase of our adventure.
