Always let them win once!

We left the snow behind on the 3rd. By the time we crossed the Ohio River, all signs of snow were gone. We stopped in Hendersonville, TN, and stayed with my nephew Doug and his wife Christy. We had fun catching up. We stayed with them last year and taught them to play Five Crowns. This year, we taught them 7’s. I let Doug win the last hand of cards, so we would be welcome to come back, Right Doug??

Headed to Tupelo to Dave and Carol Wright’s. The 4-hour drive turned into 6 hours after I realized our Amex card got left at a diner in Hurricanemills, TN. We stopped for gas an hour from the diner before I saw it was not in my wallet! We had a great time when we finally arrived at the Wright’s! Always good food and lots of laughs! We got to see their son Craig and his family. Craig was Nate’s best friend in elementary and high school. When they got transferred with Cooper to Tupelo, Craig came back to Ohio and lived with us for the boy’s senior year at Cory Rawson. We spent 2 nights there, and of course, we played cards. I let Dave win, so we would be welcome to stay again!

We drove into Oklahoma yesterday and will be in Tucumcari, NM, tonight. We plan on staying at a Love’s travel store there. It’s free, and they have nice, clean showers. We usually look for free camping which doesn’t always have perks like a shower! We should be in Sedona by Thursday.

We look forward to seeing John and Canda Rooney in Sedona and Jodi Rooney and her husband Kevin in Prescott Valley as we roll through AZ.
